Your local store, from first search to repeat order.

OnyLab builds the applications and integrations that local restaurants and shops use to get found, take more orders, and bring customers back. We ran those businesses before we built software for them.

Email us about your store

  1. Get found

On search engines, maps, review sites, and AI assistants.

  2. Take the order

Every channel lands in 1 queue, nothing typed twice.

  3. Bring them back

By email and SMS, built from the orders themselves.

The 3 steps a customer goes through with a local store: getting found, ordering, and coming back. A returning customer re-enters at the order step.

Get found, take the order, bring them back

A local store loses money at whichever of these 3 steps is weakest. OnyLab covers all 3 with 1 set of applications rather than 3 unconnected tools.

  1. Step 1

Get found where customers already look

Your store's presence on the surfaces people check before they walk in or order: search engines, AI assistants, and the maps and review sites that answer "somewhere near me".

Search engines including Google and Bing. AI assistants including ChatGPT and Claude. Specialized sites including TripAdvisor, Google Maps, and Apple Maps.

  2. Step 2

Take more orders, faster and easier

Ordering that holds up during service. More orders taken in the same shift, with fewer steps for the staff actually taking them.

Orders placed at the counter, at the table, by phone, on your own website, and through delivery marketplaces arrive in 1 queue instead of 5 screens. Each order lands in your point of sale and on the payment terminal, so nothing is typed twice.

Works with the payment terminal, kitchen and counter displays, and the delivery platforms your store lists on.

  3. Step 3

Build loyalty and bring customers back

Communicate with your customers and keep them engaged, so a first visit is not the only one.

Customer records are built from the orders themselves rather than from a separate sign-up form. Messages go out by email and SMS at the moments that matter: a new menu, a quiet weekday, an anniversary, a review request after a good visit. You then see how many of those customers actually came back.

Works with email and SMS channels and review sites, and reuses the ordering data from step 2, so a returning customer is recognised without asking.

What holds the 3 steps together

Analytics and reporting

Customized dashboards and analysis tools to track performance and optimize conversions in real time.

1 view of searches, orders, and returning customers, so you can tell which of the 3 steps is losing money this month.

Integrations

Connections to the tools your store runs on today, so everything fits your existing setup instead of replacing it.

Search engines, maps and review sites, AI assistants, point-of-sale and payment systems, delivery marketplaces, and email and SMS channels.

Reliability

Robust solutions built for continuity, so the software keeps running and keeps evolving.

A store cannot pause service while software restarts. Support is covered every day of the week, including the weekends when most orders happen.

Built for independent stores, not for chains

OnyLab works with independent restaurants, cafes, bakeries, food trucks, and neighbourhood shops: stores with 1 location, or small groups with a few. These businesses share the same constraint. The owner is also the manager, and often also behind the counter, so any tool has to pay for itself without a project team to run it.

That is why the tools fit the register, payment provider, and delivery partners a store has today, and why each one can be set up without a project team.

We ran local businesses before we built software for them

OnyLab is a software company that builds applications and integrations for independent local stores: restaurants, cafes, bakeries, food trucks, and neighbourhood shops. It is based in France and was founded in 2020 by people who had run local restaurants and shops themselves, and who designed the applications from that experience.

Its applications cover 3 steps of a store's business: being found on search engines, maps, review sites, and AI assistants; taking orders from the counter, the table, the phone, the website, and delivery marketplaces into 1 queue that feeds the store's existing point of sale; and bringing customers back with email and SMS built from the ordering data.

Everything plugs into what the store runs today rather than replacing it. Work usually begins with the 1 step costing the most, and the other 2 follow once the first pays for itself. OnyLab can be reached at hello@onylab.com.

The work that never reaches a customer

The 3 steps above happen where your customers are. The rest of the week is the part they never see, where the same job is done by hand because nobody has had the time to change it.

Agentium Lab, run by the same team, takes on exactly that work. You name 1 task you never want to do again, they watch you do it once with the exceptions included, then they build the automation and run it on their side. You end up with an AI employee handling the task rather than another piece of software to learn.
